Launching it as a PRODUCT(RED) Special Edition made the humpbacked design all the more garish. But the Smart Battery Case took a problem (lack of iPhone battery life) and engineered the worst possible solution (turning your gorgeous device into the smartphone equivalent of Quasimodo.)
Sure, impractical design choices like the Lightning port on the Mighty Mouse 2 or the way in which you charge Apple Pencil proved curiously disappointing. The Smart Battery Case is one of the most hideous Apple designs in recent memory.
